Lights! Camera! Action!
Miami International Airport is owned and operated by Miami-Dade County. The County requires a permit for all commercial filming, still photography, in-flight videos, student films, etc., utilizing County property.
In an effort to inform production companies of filming procedures at Miami International Airport (MIA) and the Miami-Dade Aviation Department's (MDAD) General Aviation Airports (GA), the department has developed the following guidelines:
Filming Permit: A permit for commercial filming or still photography is a requirement.
Process: When production companies or still photographers request to film or photograph at Miami International Airport or its General Aviation Airports, they must contact Maria Sanchez, Special Events Manager, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, at (305) 876-7322, in order to discuss details regarding their projects.
Our primary objectives are the safety and security of our passengers and tenants, keeping our facilities operational and functional, while accommodating the needs of the film and print industry.
For additional information, Ms. Sanchez's e-mail address is msanchez@miami-airport.com
