On January 5, 1999, the Miami-Dade Aviation, Fire Rescue and Building Departments signed a Letter of Agreement adopting the new Terminal Complex Life Safety Master Plan (LSMP) to codify life safety requirements appropriate to a facility of the size, complexity, function and population of the MIA Terminal Complex. Subsequent Letters of Agreement were signed and dated June 15, 2000; November 15, 2000; February 28, 2003; July 6, 2005; June 11, 2007 and to adopt revisions to the LSMP that were agreed to be needed.  The Mandatory Requirements of the LSMP are found in Volume I of the LSMP, and Performance-based Criteria and Supplementary Information are in Volume II.
