(Miami-Dade County, FL) – Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will increase parking rates at Miami International Airport (MIA) for the first time for short-term parking since 1997 and for long-term parking since 2003. Even with the current increases, MIA’s parking rates remain competitive with rates at major U.S. airports.
Effective November 1, 2006, at 12:01 a.m., public parking rates will increase as follows: Short-term rates: Daily maximum rate will be increased from $25.00 to $30.00. $2.50 per every half-hour or part thereof, with a daily maximum of $30.00 Long-term rates (Dolphin and Flamingo garages): Daily maximum rate will be increased from $12.00 to $15.00. $4.00 for the first hour or part thereof; $4.00 for the second hour or part thereof; $2.00 for the third hour or part thereof; $2.00 for the fourth hour or part thereof; $3.00 for the fifth hour or part thereof; and a daily maximum of $15.00.
