Warbird Aviation Week at Kendall-Tamiami Airport

(Miami-Dade County, FL) - Vintage War World II aircraft, aerobatics, parachuting and more will delight young and old alike during the Historic Warbird Aviation Week at Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, 12800 S.W. 145 Avenue.  The event, from February 15-19, is sponsored by Wings Over Miami Air Museum, which is located at the Airport.

The five-day event features an air show (February 18-19) that will showcase aerobatics, formation flying and bi-plane rides, plus demonstrations by the U.S. Parachute Demo Team, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Miami-Dade Police. There also will be a World War II re-enactment, along with aircraft fly-bys including the PBY Catalina, four plane T-6 Texan and T-28 Trojan formations, and the Chinese Nanchang CJ-6 with Russian Yak 52 formation.

In addition, children’s activities, food and drinks will be provided.
