The service additions include new daily -- seven times a week -- service between Miami and Barranquilla featuring American's 148-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 16 seats in the First Class cabin and 132 seats in the Coach cabin.

In addition to that new service, American will increase its existing service between Miami and Medellin. American now flies the route with 219-seat Boeing 767-300 and 267-seat Airbus A300 aircraft. Four roundtrips a week will be added to the Miami-Bogota service using American's 188-seat Boeing 757 aircraft. "American has shown its commitment to Colombia, its people and the development of its tourism industry. These are significant next steps as we continue to grow the Colombian market."
