Mr. Hernandez is Director of the Environmental Engineering Division of the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD). This division is responsible for all civil and environmental aspects related to the six airports that compose the Miami-Dade County System of Airports. His experience also includes contamination remediation, aircraft fueling and storm water management. He has extensive experience in water supply field and utility-related work, water quality issues, wellfield computer modeling and water management issues. Mr. Hernandez has worked for Miami-Dade County since 1979 on a variety of civil and environmental projects. He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1978. Mr. Hernandez was born in Havana, Cuba and his family came to the United States in 1969. |
