(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Airport Revenue News (ARN) magazine named MIAMI International Airport’s North Terminal the winner of its 2012 Best Overall Concessions Program Award during the publication’s annual conference and exhibition in February (see press release below). Industry participants cast more than 1,300 on-line votes in five airport categories and 15 specialty retail, news and gifts and food and beverage categories to determine the winners. ARN Announces 2012 Best Airport & Concessionaire Winners

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, March 2, 201 -- Airport Revenue News (ARN) has announced the 2012 winners of its prestigious Best Airport & Concessionaire Awards at its annual Airport Revenue Conference & Exhibition, held last week in Orlando, Fla. at the JW Marriott. The results will be published in ARN’s May 2011 issue.

Nominating and judging for the 2012 awards was conducted entirely online and again resulted in unprecedented industry participation, with over 1,300 votes cast in five airport categories and 15 specialty retail, news and gifts and food and beverage categories.  As in previous years, to avoid conflicts of interests, airport executives voted for concession companies and concessionaires voted for airport programs.

“We are very pleased to announce this year’s ARN winners,” says Pauline Armbrust, executive director of Airport Revenue News. “The programs and concepts offered in airports have evolved to a very sophisticated level so the competition was fierce and all winners should feel very proud to be considered the best.”

The ARN Best Concessions awards are the most coveted recognition in the industry and are reflective of the excellence the airport and concessionaire winners bring to the concessions business.
